  Ending Emotional Overeating and Improving Body Image

Our short-term six week groups are designed especially for women and provide key support. You will learn new techniques to change relationships with food that are dissatisfying or causing pain and distress. 

Some changes may be small steps, others life altering. In an emotionally safe atmosphere, we will identify and understand our relationship with food, both in the present and historically. Through increased self-understanding you will learn to identify and make choices in your relationship with food that are nurturant and healthy. We will also begin to work on body image issues, which are both created and reinforced because of our relationship with food. We will work together to learn to love and accept our bodies and move away from the traps of socio-cultural messages about beauty and women’s bodies. These groups are not for women struggling with serious eating disorders as appropriate support can’t be provided.

  Balancing Career and Family

These groups are designed especially for career women who are experiencing high degrees of stress. With the support of others, we will share our experiences and explore ways to improve communication in our relationships at work and at home. You will learn new coping skills for handling stress, techniques to better manage your time and ways to lead to a happier life. These groups meet for six weeks.
